The Art and Science of MassageThe theories of therapeutic massage are scientific in character, but the actual application of these theories is an art, for it involves the healing sense, sensitivity of touch, insight and intuition. It is a unique way of communicating without words, sharing energy, enjoying pleasurable relaxation, and experiencing peace of mind. Andrea uses massage in service to her patients with her acupuncture treatments when she determines that it will be useful to them. Most people can benefit from a large reduction of tension in their muscles, tendons and facia and Andrea's deep tissue massage and extremely focused energy melt the tension away very strongly and efficiently. She also does a powerful Qi Gong treatment for people who just need energy work without the deep tissue massage.
Tui Na is a form of Chinese massage used in conjunction with Acupuncture, Chinese Herbalism, Tai Chi and Qi Gong.
